I owe a lot to my parents for the talents and ambitions that I have, both of them are extremely talented artists and are/were teachers of the craft. I started out drawing pictures of my favorite cartoon characters like Mickey Mouse, Bugs Bunny, Garfield, etc. Then I moved on to basketball players and superheroes when I got a little older, this is where I gained the majority of my skill in drawing the human form. During my last few years of high school I started getting into painting, mostly with oils and watercolors. To this day basically all of my work has a person, character, animal, creature as the focal point. I never really got into still-lifes or landscapes, and I love making artwork about what inspires me, which often ends up being from a movie or musical artist that I like.

I went to college at the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, New York. I studied New Media Design, and gained a lot of knowledge in the areas of graphic design, web design, videography and photography. But I also never stopped drawing, and what I learned at RIT helped me push my artwork further, adding elements of graphic design and graffiti to my work.

After graduating from RIT in 2005, I started working at a training company in Rochester called Ardent Learning. At Ardent I do a lot of interface design, animation, and some print layout. I love where I work and I love the people I work with, so I feel very lucky to have my position. I live in an apartment in an old house with my lovely girlfriend, and our dog and cat. I spend the majority of my time outside of work doing illustrations and paintings, and probably not enough time helping out around the house (I'm working on that). I know the type of artwork I do is never going to land me a ton of freelance work, but even though I do need the extra money I really don't care. I do what I do because it makes me happy, but I'm still interested to hear about any opportunities that come my way.
